I have also taken many wedding pictures in the past, most of asian brides. I would like to go prefessional one day and become a wedding photographer in the future. I enjoy taking wedding pictures and like feeling part of everyones special and to recapture that moment is so special to me. I have captured many very powerful moments in black and white and also colour.

Exhibition 2009

This is my recent exhibition i have held. It was very much to do with my cultural influences. The reason I have based my project on henna is because during the time if my sisters wedding I did the henna on everyone and I enjoyed it so I would like to go back to it. In weddings henna plays a huge part because the plant associates with luck and prosperity.

Exhibition 2008

In my years of studying Art, i have held many exhibitions but for me this was one of my most successful exhibition i have held. The reason being is my work started producing a theme.My theme being revolved around my identity, beliefs and emotions.

My Identity refers to my essence of my self-conscious behaviour, which makes others and me around me unique. Identity is the reflection of what we feel, think, practice, believe and behave. Identity persists, though a person may change in socially important aspects, such as religious belief and cultural beliefs, these modifications happen through one single identity. This is something that has been affecting mainly this year; coming from two backgrounds confuses me and my work. Because being from an Indian cultural background and also a western background always clashes. Identity is not an immutable essence or substance so much as an image or series of images.
